National Academies facilities in the Washington, D.C. area are OPEN for normal operation. Employees are expected to report to work or telework as normally scheduled.

Staff and visitors may call 202-337-8566 to hear a recorded message concerning the operational status of the National Academies in the D.C. area, including information on any facility closings or restrictions on operations as a result of inclement weather, disaster, or other emergency.

Local television and radio stations may also be a source of information about operational status if Web and telephone access are unavailable.

WEEKENDS: In case of inclement weather, participants in weekend activities should contact the event organizer.
