Hillbrow residents urged to celebrate in a safe manner during New Year's Eve
As a form of celebrating the start of a New Year, during New Year's Eve, Hillbrow residents have become famous for throwing heavy objects from their upstairs flat apartment's balconies and firing guns. Heavy objects such as old fridges are often seen flying from high-rise buildings.

Health Deputy Minister, Dr Gwendoline Ramokgopa, will reward excelling health practitioners from across the country at a ceremony taking place on Monday, 21 November 2011 at the Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni.
No truth in allegations that Albany bread has been poisoned
The Department of Health notes with concern reports in the social media that it (health department) has confirmed poisoning of Albany bread.
