Naked riders last year. Picture: Martin Reddy
PICNICKERS at the Edinburgh gardens will be in for a special treat this Sunday amid a sea of Melbourne’s more adventurous cyclists – in the buff.
Cyclists in the annual World Naked Bike Ride 2012, subtitled, “As Bare as You Dare’’, will be meeting at the gardens from 2pm in preparation for the ride to Parliament House in Spring St.
Riders will travel down Brunswick St, to Elgin, Lygon and then on to Parliament House in Spring St where, if tradition holds, a bride and groom will find their wedding photos “enhanced’’ by the stream of nude and near-nude riders.
