A MAN died after his car hit a concrete barrier on the Monash Freeway in Glen Iris yesterday morning.
A passing taxi found the car near the Great Valley Rd underpass just before 3am.
The Mitsubishi Magna sedan hit the concrete wall on the outbound side of the freeway.
The 24-year-old Glen Iris driver, and sole occupant of the car, died at the scene.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

So sad today after the death Of Simon Thomson on Monash Freeway - l worked for the same compamy as Simon and although l didn`t know him very well , he was such l nice man - boy really - so polite and quiet. So so very sad that a life so young is cut short. i have a son of a similiar age and can not imagine how his Mother would be feel . Our thoughts are with the Family It was a pleasure to have known you Simon and rest in peace Sharon
