About
History
During the summer of 2007, founder and editor-in-chief Sal Romano founded a Blogger-hosted gaming blog named ‘onAXIS‘, which launched with an aim to provide readers updates specifically on the PlayStation platform. The Blogger site was active for ten months before the Sal decided to take it to the next level and launched Scrawl in May 2008. Scrawl was the same concept, but this time independently hosted and with a new engine under its hood.
The following summer, Scrawl shifted from solely PlayStation 3 coverage to Xbox 360 coverage, as well, making for an high-definition gaming-based site. This attracted a plethora of new readers, and gave the site a lot more to talk about. Today, Scrawl exists to provide readers with the latest news, previews, reviews, screenshots, videos, and articles in the current-generation gaming world. We hope you love it. We do. We don’t call ourselves journalists. We just like writing about games.
