OAKLAND, Calif. -- The notoriety keeps growing for Chicago White Sox pitcher Philip Humber, who Monday was named the American League pitcher of the week.

The announcement was made on the MLB Network.

Humber, 29, threw the 21st perfect game in major league history Saturday at Seattle. Humber is scheduled to tape a segment of David Letterman's Top 10 list for Monday night's showing of "The Late Show."

Humber's next start is scheduled for Thursday against Boston atU.S. Cellular Field.
