The Yahoo! Contributor Awards (YCAs) recognize the achievements of some of the most talented Yahoo! contributors, and the most exceptional pieces of content published through the Yahoo! Contributor Network.
Monthly YCAs
From January through November, we offer a YCA in one content category (like Sports, Finance, or Entertainment). All contributors creating content in that category during the month of the contest are eligible for the prize, and a panel of Yahoo! judges will choose a single winner based on the overall quality of their recently published content. Content published to any Yahoo! site through the Yahoo! Contributor Network may be taken into account - for example, our judges consider content published on omg!, Yahoo! Movies, Yahoo! TV, as well as Voices when determining winners in the Entertainment category. Each contributor's history of Yahoo! Contributor Network publishing and community involvement may also be taken into account.
Winners are notified during the following month, and each honoree receives a profile badge along with a $500 prize!

Annual YCAs
Each January, our annual YCAs honor some of the contributors and pieces of content that best embodied and exemplified the spirit of our publishing platform in the year previous. Details about the 2011 Yahoo! Contributor Awards will be announced in December, 2011.
