Florida Gulf Coast University President Wilson G. Bradshaw is pleased to announce that Dr. Rosemary M. Thomas has accepted the position of Vice President for University Advancement and Executive Director of its Foundation, beginning on February 20, 2012.  She will also serve on the President’s Cabinet with three other vice presidents, the General Council, and University Spokesperson and Chief of Staff.

Dr. Thomas comes to FGCU from Salisbury University where she served as Vice President for University Advancement and Executive Director of its Foundation from 2003 to the present.  Her prior experience includes serving as Vice President for College Advancement and Executive Director of the Foundation at Glenville State College.  She has also held management positions at Fairmont State College and Clemson University. 

Dr. Thomas holds a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from West Virginia University, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of South Carolina, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Clemson University.
