Over the course of six months, a crew of nine film students at the University of Greenwich worked to document Phase 1 of the Painted Hall conservation, as part of their Industry Work Practice. Responding to a professional brief, they captured footage of the conservators at work and fantastic details of the west wall, in addition to a range of events including projects with local community groups, volunteer led activities and tours of the scaffolding. The film also features interviews with conservator Stephen Paine and Wesley Kerr from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), who generously describes the Painted Hall as 'Britain's Sistine Chapel'! Their final film is now available to see on the ORNC website.
