Caring Community

Caring Community

Our synagogue has an established reputation as a leader in "mitzvot" and "tikkun olam" through social service and social action. Caring Community is the SWFS initiative that will enable us to care for each other.

Exciting opportunities include:

Calling and visiting members who are ill, homebound or who would simply enjoy some company

Celebrating joyous events like births, birthdays and special achievements

Comforting members who are going through difficult times due to illness, family or personal crisis, separation or loss

Helping to bring the homebound and members who have a difficult time moving around the city to attend High Holy Day Services

Teaching, learning about and celebrating Shabbat by hosting dinner to bring and share the Shabbat experience in our homes

Educating members on the Jewish way of handling challenging end of life issues, health proxies, etc.
