    • Jake Owen certainly doesn't believe in wasting time. Less than a month after surprising his girlfriend Lacey Buchanan with an impromptu onstage proposal, the country singer has said his vows and sealed the deal.

"A best friend for life. I now have a wifey :) my face hurts from smiling. What a wonderful way to start the rest of my life," Owen tweeted on Monday, adding a photo of himself and his new bride standing on the beach in wedding gear.Jake Owen and new wife Lacey

According to People, the ceremony took place at sunrise in Owen's hometown of Vero Beach, Florida. Although the couple wore designer duds, they were both barefoot on the sand.

    • Miranda Lambert may have started waves when she tweeted a skeptical remark about Ashton Kutcher's appearance at the Academy of Country Music Awards early last month--but it appears all is now fine and dandy between the two.

Lambert--who, after seeing Kutcher attempt to sing George Strait's "I Cross My Heart" dressed in flashy cowboy gear at the ACMs, commented "Was Ashton Kutcher making fun of country or is it just me?"--bumped into Kutcher at a Kentucky Derby party Friday, and apparently used her country-bull-o-meter to determine that he actually is an okay guy.

She posted a photo of the two together, and tweeted, "He is sweet and lives country music! For real!:) and he likes randaritas!"Lambert and Kutcher

Good to know that Kutcher wasn't faking (he noted himself after the ACM performance that he is a genuine country fan). If he's good enough for Lambert, he's good enough for me!

    • Don't get too excited yet, everyone, because this is strictly a rumor at this point. But since it's an awfully juicy rumor, I wanted to reveal that the Las Vegas Sun is reporting "exclusive rumblings" that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill may be taking up residency in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas celeb-watcher/reporter Robin Leach noted on Monday that the husband-and-wife team are "about to sign contracts" for a series of weekend concerts to take place from November to April. The exact location is undisclosed, but Leach says it'll be in "an 1,800-seat theater within a guitar pick's throw of Steve Wynn's Encore Theater." Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

That's, of course, where Garth Brooks already has a headlining deal, so the proposed show would be in direct competition with his. It will also (if all of this is really true, that is) compete with Shania Twain's residency at Caesars Palace, which begins at the end of 2012.

    • Gossip magazines are forever trying to convince average Joes and Janes out there that superstars are "just like us!" Not so sure about that overall...but there is one star out there who really does seem to be genuinely normal.

That would be American Idol Scotty McCreery, who despite his household-name status, has managed to maintain the life of pretty much any average 18-year-old when not in the spotlight.

Skeptical? Well, let's take a look at what McCreery's been up to lately. First of all--and probably most important--he's not forgoing his education for fame. Like thousands of teenagers across the country, he'll be entering college this fall. McCreery applied and was accepted to four schools, ultimately choosing North Carolina State University. Scotty McCreery

It's likely he made his decision based on factors many kids use to select a college: The school is located near his hometown of Garner, N.C.--and it's where his dad, Michael, also studied back in the day.

    • To answer the most burning question: No, the Stagecoach Festival did not have a Hank Williams or Lefty Frizzell hologram, to compete with the Tupac recreation that'd appeared on the same stage at the Coachella Festival the preceding two weekends. You were hoping for a digitized Keith Whitley? Sorry.

It did, however, have an attack of the virtual 50-feet women. On Friday night, headliner Jason Aldean sang a duet of "Don't You Wanna Stay" with the mammoth projected image and pre-recorded voice of Kelly Clarkson, as he does every night on tour. Sunday night's headliner, Brad Paisley, did the same thing when he traded lines with a virtual Carrie Underwood on "Remind Me" (replacing the half-on-tape "duet" he used to do with Alison Krauss nightly).

The field adjoining the Stagecoach main stage is so vast, though, that many of the 55,000 attendees thought these faux duet partners were really on stage. Palm Spring's daily paper even reported that Clarkson had showed up in person for the Aldean

    • Country bad boy Eric Church made waves on Monday when an interview in the print issue of Rolling Stone hit the streets--in short, the singer basically blasted artists who have made their careers from appearances on reality shows, as well as artists who create personas from judging positions on such shows.

Church directly called out his Nashville peer and judge of popular singing competition show The Voice, Blake Shelton: "Honestly, if Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green f--king turn around in a red chair, you got a deal? That's crazy. I don't know what would make an artist do that. You're not an artist."Eric Church

Shelton, who is well-known for being a loose cannon on social media, performed admirable restraint by merely tweeting, "I wish I misunderstood this." His wife, fellow country artist Miranda Lambert, was not as pleasant, blasting Church with a terse tweet dressing him down for his words.

Church responded formally late on Monday evening, telling ABC News that his comments were "part of a larger commentary on these types of reality shows and the perception they create, not the artists involved with the shows themselves."

    • If you'd recently invited Miranda Lambert and Eric Church to the same party, you may want to reset that table with one or two fewer places. Country music's usually cozy clubhouse has suddenly developed a very public rift.

Lambert and her husband Blake Shelton both took to Twitter today to tear into Church, after he was quoted at length in Rolling Stone questioning the credibility of stars appearing on The Voice and other reality shows.

"I wish I misunderstood this," Shelton tweeted, in unusually succinct and humor-free fashion, after retweeting a link to the controversial interview in which Church ripped into The Voice and even mentioned Shelton by name, saying he'd rather "starve" than be a reality-show judge or contestant.

      [Related: Blake Shelton's Pre-Fame Style]

Lambert was more fiery than Shelton in her own subsequent Twitter response. She angrily wrote: "Thanks Eric Church for saying I'm not a real artist. Or @kelly_clarkson, @carrieunderwood & @KeithUrban. Your (sic) welcome for

    • Just for fun to start your week with a grin--are you one of those gals (or know a gal) who likes her men in Wranglers and boots (and we don't mean Ashton Kutcher-style)? Here's a crazy tune that should appeal to your senses.

A new artist who goes by Cotton Eye Jane has released a pop-flavored tune called "I Need A Man" which extols the virtues of everything cowboy--including southern drawls, tight jeans, Skoal rings, and farmer's tans. No "skinny boys, rocker boys, or emo boys" for this girl. Nor Lil Wayne or T-Pain (John Wayne makes her cut, however). Here's the song in its entirety for your enjoyment:

    • What's the only thing more adorable than America's sweetheart, Taylor Swift? Well--how about Swift in a slinky tiger costume?

The country cutie donned the striped outfit, complete with fuzzy ears, in order to celebrate her buddy Dianna Agron's circus-themed party over the weekend. Grrr! Swift charms in a tiger costume for Agron's party

The celebration, which Swift termed "the most magical night" on Twitter, was to mark the Glee star's 26th birthday. Agron herself chose to dress as a trapeze artist, while other guests got in the mood with various glitzy big-top fashions.
