Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose suffered a nasty fall during his band's show at French festival Hellfest on Saturday (June 16). Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to watch a video of him tumbling over.

The singer, who suffers the fall at the 0.25 mark in the video, was making his way across the stage when he tripped over and landed face first. He recovered quickly and carried on singing, but looked noticeably shaken.

Axl has endured a difficult month. He was reportedly left "fuming" after it emerged that he'd been robbed of three gold-and-diamond necklaces at a private gathering after his band's show at Paris' Bercy Stadium earlier this month. Fortunately, all three necklaces, which are worth some $200,000 (£130,000), were subsequently returned.

His band also completed a troubled UK arena tour and ended their run of shows on a sour note after being pelted with money and pint glasses. As well as this, the band have drawn intense criticism for their frequent late starts, often taking to the stage after 11pm.

As previously reported by NME, fans who turned out for the gigs wearing clothes bearing the image of the band's former guitarist were turned away by security – and were only allowed in after removing the offending item of clothing.

Guns N' Roses will headline the newly set up Costa Del Fuego festival next month alongside Marilyn Manson.
