Luka Mratović

4th place (Laser Radial) at the 2005 European Championships in Split, Croatia

Luka Mratović was born in Split on 7 April 1987. He started sailing when he was seven. Some of his more significant results are the 15th place in the Optimist class at the 2001 European Cadet Championships and the 4th place in the Laser Radial class at the 2005 European Junior Championships (he was only two points short of the bronze medal). He switched to the Olympic board in the autumn of 2006, being one of the first in Croatia to sail the RS:X. Luka qualified for the Olympics when he placed 68th at the 2008 World Championships in Auckland, New Zealand.

He is an undergraduate student of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Split
