Start with No.7Generating a conversation around your business can seem like a daunting task. And in a space where absolutely anyone can use online and social media to promote themselves, it can be difficult to know where to start in finding your voice in the market.
That’s why we spoke to founder of underground film club 'Secret Cinema,' Fabien Rigall, for the expert’s advice on how to get people talking about your business. He would know: in June, 25,000 people attended one screening he put on of Prometheus at an abandoned warehouse in Euston. And get this: Secret Cinema is not advertised. Anywhere. Launched in 2007 after Fabien’s ‘Future Shorts’ short film screening venture, Secret Cinema puts on screenings of indie, to classics, to blockbuster, to documentary films – relying on a mailing list and clues to reveal dates, locations and clues to the actual movie title. Since Fabien launched it, more than 150,000 people have attended Secret Cinema screenings, and later this year he will be rolling out the project to New York, too. Here is his tried-and-tested advice on how to create a buzz around your business.
