External Coordination

Our Missions

The World Health Organization in the South-East Asia Region (WHO/SEARO) has as its mission the attainment by all people in the Region of the highest possible level of health.

To help achieve this goal, External Coordination of SEARO works to enhance collaboration with development partners and to ensure that funding is available for WHO efforts to support member countries in improving their health services.

External Coordination supports and assists all twelve offices in the Region (including the Regional Office and the eleven Country Offices) in their work for resource mobilization and partnerships. This includes strategy and plan development and implementation; the preparation of project proposals; partner/donor relations and negotiation; coordination with all levels of the Organization; and capacity building.
