After a seven-year delay, Randallstown residents cheered Monday over an announcement that a Walmart will open on Liberty Road next year. Officials and residents have long hoped that the store — a planned $9 million, 160,000-square-foot supercenter with groceries and a pharmacy — would revitalize the aging commercial corridor, encouraging other national retailers and restaurants to set up shop in the affluent, largely black community....

As it turns out, the Naval Academy is awash in "Gangnam Style. " A crew of mids from the 22nd Company, at least, seem to have it in spades and shows it off in a video that's going viral. The video (see above), just posted Sunday on YouTube, already has more than 267,000 views. In it, the young men, mainly in dress whites, dance around the Naval Academy to the song "Gangnam Style" by South Korean rapper PSY. It's one of the hottest songs in America right now. The mids call it a "spirit spot.

The relationship between Michael Oher and Sean Tuohy Jr. has - like Tuohy himself - grown dramatically in the 10 years since Oher was brought by Tuohy's family into their home in the leafy suburbs of Memphis. If those early years became the genesis of a best-selling book and a hit movie that documented Oher's transformation into a college football star at Mississippi and the No. 1 pick of the Ravens in 2009, this year takes the brothers' relationship to another place. In Baltimore, call it The Other Side.

"Every day in every way I am getting better and better. " - Nelson Van Alden What's that, "Boardwalk Empire" without its tragic hero, Jimmy Darmody? What's next, an aviatrix (or "lady flyer" if you prefer) navigating across the continent? As the third season of "Boardwalk" soldiers on sans Jimmy, everyone else in Atlantic City and beyond seems to be aspiring to be a better "them" in 1923. Well, almost everyone (looking at you, Al Capone). For as long as Jimmy was around, he always reminded Nucky Thompson that he couldn't be "half a gangster.

A Walmart Supercenter is scheduled to open Oct. 17 on Liberty Road in Randallstown, and Baltimore County officials hope it will give a boost to a corridor targeted for revitalization. County officials and community leaders expect that the store at Liberty Plaza will attract attention from other major chains to the area. Consumers in Randallstown have high levels of education and income, they say, but the area has struggled to draw national retailers and restaurants. Residents complain that there are too many fast-food restaurants and low-quality stores.

- After jockeying with Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha to establish position in the corner of the end zone, Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones was convinced he had completed a legal, acrobatic touchdown catch. The replacement officials thought otherwise, nullifying the 25-yard touchdown by flagging Jones for offensive pass interference in the fourth quarter of the Ravens' 24-23 loss Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. Jones and the Ravens disagreed with the call, which took away a touchdown that would have built a 27-17 lead with 5:29 to play.

Days after undergoing gastric bypass surgery, Brenda Maker's diabetes was gone — her body producing enough of the hormone insulin to turn sugar into fuel. It's a phenomenon seen in recent years by doctors who increasingly are using the operation not only to help patients lose weight and improve their health generally but specifically to address the national epidemic of Type 2 diabetes. Now some researchers at the University of Maryland believe their work may explain why the surgery succeeds, and how a common drug may be used to induce similar effects.

Give the new television ad asking voters to approve Maryland's Question 7 credit for one thing: It is spot on in accusing the opposition of being bankrolled by an out-of-state gambling company worried about losing revenue at its marquee location in West Virginia. Of course, the ad doesn't mention that the group who sponsored it - For Maryland Jobs & Schools Inc. - is a front for the gambling giant MGM, which stands to reap hundreds of millions if voters allow a sixth casino in Prince George's County.

Two weeks ago, Jerry "The King" Lawler suffered a heart attack on live television. In the time since, websites have reported and speculated on Lawler's condition and the events surrounding the incident, which played out on live television. On tonight's episode of Raw, fans had the chance to hear from The King himself, who shared some shocking details about his condition immediately after awakening at the hospital. Lawler did not even remember being part of a tag team match on that episode, let alone the events that followed.

The woman who says she represents North American Power is not telling the truth about the benefits of buying electricity from her company. "You can save up to 10, 15, 20 percent of your bill, depending on your usage," she says in a telemarketing call to my house. But the rate she eventually quotes is only about 7 percent less than the standard price offered by Baltimore Gas & Electric — something the average customer would have no way of knowing. And of course the percentage savings won't vary even if my "usage" goes up to that of a steel mill.

I f you watch Spike TV's "Bar Rescue"you know how hard Jon Taffer's job is. Recruited by drinkeries, Taffer not only revamps bars' design, menus and business practices, but deals with bullheaded owners. He's already had to fix a pirate bar (!) in Silver Spring (!!) for the premiere of Season 2 last week. But for this Sunday's episode (9 p.m.), he attempts to fix Fells Point's J.A. Murphy's, which became Murphy's Law ... and then closed. What went down? We decided to awkwardly ask Taffer.

Last night I was at the Bell Centre in Montreal when Jerry Lawler suffered a heart attack. It was both uncomfortable and concerning. After Lawler had already competed in a tag-team contest on Raw, he was performing his usual commentary duties with Michael Cole. During a tag-team match between the Prime Time Players and Daniel Bryan/Kane, I looked over to the broadcast table and saw Jerry Lawler hunched over, beginning to shake. It looked like he was choking. Then, suddenly, he collapsed from his chair.

Ramona Singer knows a thing or two about being camera-ready. As one of the original cast members of "The Real Housewives of New York," Singer is used to being in the public eye. That means being Paparazzi-prepared. Singer isn't trying to chance being included on anyone's worst dressed list. So she makes sure she keeps on top of trends at events. That means going to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. We caught up with the television personality at the Walter Baker show at Lincoln Center.
