Research and statistics publication series
Publications
Publishing and disseminating research and statistics is an important part of our work. We produce publications on a range of Home Office issues to ensure that all those with an interest can access our findings.
We do not provide copies of printed publications. All our reports may be freely downloaded from this website.
Our publications are listed in date order. You can access them through the links below.
The views expressed in these reports are those of the authors, not necessarily those of the Home Office (nor do they reflect government policy).
Home Office Research Reports
Home Office Research Reports generally have three sections: key implications, an executive summary, and the main report. Read our Home Office Research Reports.
Statistical publications
Statistical publications contain statistical information on a variety of Home Office subjects including crime, immigration, drugs and the police. See our statistical publications.
Occasional papers
Occasional papers are more detailed papers with an average length of 100 pages. They include, for example, feasibility studies for research surveys. See our Occasional Papers.
Archived publications
We have archived a lot or our publications since the general election (12 May 2010). These publications are still interesting and informative research materials, they are simply stored on the National Archive website. You can find them by browsing the national archives website archived RDS publications, or by looking by subject area:
- Crime
- Drugs and alcohol
- Migration
- The police
- Science
