Thank you for your suggestions and compliments. We appreciate and read all the comments we receive, and we take them into account as we do our work. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide individual replies to all messages. Our small staff is fully occupied making this site the best information resource it can be for our readers.

Please use the box below to write us. After being inundated with spam and viruses, we have had to remove all email addresses from the site.

Important! Before you write a comment in the box, please take a minute to review this page. Your question or topic may be addressed here.

1. Remember: when you fill out the form, you are writing to allAfrica.com.

You are not reaching an institution or individual mentioned in the story you read on our site.

You are not writing to an article's publisher or author, unless "allAfrica.com" appears between the headline and the date. In addition to our own reporting, AllAfrica distributes the work of more than 100 African media organizations and several hundred other groups.

2. Commenting on an article. You are welcome to comment on any article on allAfrica.com by clicking on the "Comment on this article" link at the top of every story. Alternatively, you may want to send your comment directly to the publisher. Contact information for the original source of material on allafrica.com can be found in two ways:

by clicking on the publisher's name at the top of the story (between the headline and the date), or

   by consulting our publisher list.

3. Advertising. Please review our Media Kit online or click here to contact our sales department.

4. Articles or comments for publication. We are not able to publish readers' submissions or freelance reporting at this time. We plan a readers' forum in the future.

5. Permission to reprint or repost an article or photograph. Contact the newspaper or agency that owns the story or photo. AllAfrica has distribution rights but does not own the copyright for material from our participating publishers.

For a story, click on the publication name at the top of the text to obtain contact information. All publishers are listed on the publishers page.

For photos, the information is in the caption. If your request is for a story or photo that is copyrighted by allAfrica.com, we will reply to your message as soon as we can. Otherwise, we cannot grant permission.

6. Information or research. If you want to know more about a story you read on the site, or another topic, here are some tips that may be helpful:

   Search our content at http://allafrica.com/search/.

Learn more about how to take advantage of the features on the site by visiting our 'How To' page.

Visit our Internet Gateway page for a comprehensive list of Africa-related news and information resources: http://allafrica.com/gateway/

Try using a search engine like Google to seek out information on our site and others.

7. Printing trouble. To print a story, use the Print This Page button at the top right of each story. This opens the story in a new browser window (with the word "printable" in the URL). It is designed to avoid any problems with margins on any printer. After printing, you will want to close the page to return to the page you were reading on the site.

If you wish to print the home page or any of our section front pages (the ones with headlines), you may need to set the left and right margins as small as possible. You can do this on the newer versions (only) of most browsers using the "print view" option. It may also help to choose a smaller text size on your browser (before opening "print view")

8. Finding the coverage you want on a particular country. Please be aware that AllAfrica distributes news & information from over 100 news organizations, who share in the revenue the site generates. We have the right to post stories only from news publications and agencies with which we have contractual relationships. We want to provide full coverage of every country, but news organisations publishing in English are not present in all places! We continually search for new content providers in Africa to further diversify and enrich the site.

If you read French and haven't visited our French site, click here to go there now.

9. Unhappy about reporting you are reading on our site? Be assured that we strive for a diversity of sources and views, in order to offer readers a full range of African journalism and opinion. We do not edit or censor the stories we receive from publishers or the other sources whose material we distribute. We leave judgment to our readers. For a complete list of publishers and other sources whose material appears regularly on the site, consult these pages:
