Last time I checked - Boston, Cambridge & Quincy were not in New Hampshire! If the writer can't get that correct - how accurate is the rest of this?

Being well educated is priceless, but money is the root of all evil.

Well, as far as being included here and thus a part of the issue in the Metro D.C. mess, I have the pleasure (hmmmm) being a provider of construction and service to the rich and ultra( old money) rich. I can say definitively that they overwhelmingly support the man they feel will protect their interest, they brag about not paying tax ( even getting money back), reaping the benefits of good full time lawyers and housestaff to retain the comfortable life they have aquired. This is not new news, years and years of service yeilds many confidences, some unwanted - " I wish I could kill....", " could you come in here...", " will you go to Paris or Russia to solve an issue?" Or being called on to Defend, mis represent to govt entities the nature and depth of a project, to rescue, or picking up naked broken bodies and getting help to same, even to resolve personal matters, or clean up a sexually oriented mess...and finally the point- this perception of my benefactors whom take every opportunity to enrich and care only as far as they need to get what they want. Not really are they the driving force behind the economy, but you would think so as you listen, many closet bigots ready to sacrifice us to rid the W.H. of this Obamanation. I hear and they speak- in code words, the meanings clear with context and repitition. Every now and then one is bared and the words are heard by the "others", but politics, being the art of the lie, acts to deny and distort until the reality is unrecognizable. Even Video becomes faded and muted until another patriot acts to tear away the curtain of power, priviledge and predjudice. Romney will save them, they need only to sacrifice the 'others' upon the alter of his Plan, resurrected GOP agenda proven time after time. They do not count the damage done to the country as a concern after 4 years of sabotage and survival. The reich is just only a bit further, and the anticipation is palable, whatever the cost in lives, morals can justify. A bigger lie is all that is needed and Resurrection cometh quickly. I get ill with it, and money in hand, run home to my family( gave some to the guy at the intersection with the sign) and wonder how people who were once patriots of this nations freedoms became slaves to the trappings they acquired, rich and morally bankrupt at the same time. Plotting and planning every tactic to tip the scales in ways unintended by the framers of this country, and yes, I work in the top of the business and political elite, so I have heard enough to become aware, and my eyes are open wide - in terror of what may come. I am so sorry for this realization - as they too lived and remember the civil rights, the free love, womens rights, equality and all the progressive human rights issues in my lifetime. They now seek to reverse much of what I lived through, believed in and fought for, because they enjoy a position to deny parity to those below. This is a great country worth fighting for and the battle rages

Hopital and Health industries ie. Georgetown/ Howard/ Johns Hopkins/ Med Star/ U.S. Health Dept./ Kaiser P. (2. Private Defense Contractors ie Booze Allen/ BAE/ Lockheed Martin around bases such as Mead/ Pax River/ Myers/ McNair/ Andrews AFB/ Nat. Navy Yards. (3. Industiral Power houses ie. Johnson & Johnson/ Every tool maker in U.S./ Domino sugar/ Textiles Plants etc. (4. Highly educated Jobs= NASA in Greenbelt/ U. Maryland research centers ex. Solomons./ (5. Retail Main offices. example Tysons corner/ Tysons Galleria. (6. A million Government Jobs. (7. 23 different police Departments just in and around D.C "I know. . I used to work for one" (8. Energy ie. Nuclear Power plants BGE/ Constellation /Nuc Reg Comm. (9 to 100! on and on!
If you need a job move to the D.C., M.D., V.A. area. I don't know why companies come here to set up shop when there are so many other places in the U.S. that could benifit from their help.

I feel that everyone is getting bent out of sorts that the DC area is #1. You have to remember that with a title like that, the cost of living is extreme. When I go out of town and see ads for "brand new house coming soon, priced at $200,000" I laugh to myself that $200,000 will not even buy you a 30 year old townhouse here! It's incredible how much everything costs here. I'd say just be glad you don't have to deal with such high living costs. I'm paying about $1500/month on a 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment. If that sounds like your idea of a good way to use your money, I would say, please come here and try it out yourselves.

DC area - rich because of government workers making six figures. Something SERIOUSLY wrong with that picture.

Anchorage Alaska- anyone with any brain and/or money would HAVE to live in this city.- raises the average.

California - land of fruits and nuts - multimillionaire computer geeks, over paid actors, over paid sports figures.

Trenton? probably getting loads of dough from the government - see DC
Boulder- ritzy place expensive property = rich people flock there.
NONE of this has anything to do with BRAINS or education.

Of course DC is tops. They have a luxurious life on OUR money.

Does anyone know specifically what town/neighborhood the picture for the DC metro area is? I love it.
