only complaint I have is no SuperStar Saga, but hey, they're free, so whatever. REALLY glad to see Minish Cap on the list though, best handheld Zelda to date, I could play it again and again

I'm SUPER STOKED that Zelda - Minish Cap is part of the list It's easily the BEST gba game ever made, and one of my favorite Zelda games in the entire series Now we just need to see Oracle of Seasons/Ages released, too.

Nice list there for all you ambassadors. I remember playing some of those games back on the GBA but I missed a few of them mainly Minish Cap. I wonder how much the cartridge goes for nowadays.

Still they are good games to have and the one I am most excited about is Metroid Fusion because a friend gave me the game but he failed to tell me that the saving was bangjacks.

So Nintendo is just releasing these games for free to the Ambassadors, and then they're done with them? What a waste of coding and emulation. If Nintendo were smart, they'd put these games on the eShop next year so they can make some money back.

I totally agree @tendoboy1984... Why would they just release them for us early adopters and not make money off of their 'hard work' I think these games would sell incredibly well, considering all of the Zelda fans who now own 3DS's and have played Ocarina 3-D.

@21 damn straight. So far we have Zelda 1 & 2, OoT, Spirit Tracks, Phantom Hourglass, Link's Awakening, Four Swords. Now there's Minish Cap AND the chance of Majora's Mask and Seasons/Ages is pretty high.

@tendoboy1984 We don't know yet. Nintendo actually said that they don't know if the GBA games will eventually be available to buy. So far the NES games will be on the eShop eventually, and the GBA ones are a maybe.

@tendoboy - Have you forgotten the unfortunate moment where early 3DS owners paid approximately £70 more than now when the console was first released, nine months back? It's not a waste; they got that extra money back then.

Not to say they shouldn't put these on the eShop to get more sales, but still, analyse things a little carefully first.

Epic lineup. Some great games in there, nothing that I wouldnt enjoy playing. Stoked that Fire Emblem is amongst them as its one that had been on my Ambassador list to Santa since the original announcement...
and ofcourse the original warioware makes for a great timewaster. So really happy!!!

A fine list of game, although I wouldn't choose Mario Kart: Super Circuit to go with it.
Mario kart 7 has just been released as a better, more refined game, and I doubt that any 3DS owner who has that game would go back and play something older.

This list has exceeded my expectations. Although the first 5 games announced were all great games I had played all of them comprehensively. F-Zero, Fire Emblem, Wario Land 4 and Zelda give me an opportunity to play some games that I previously missed on the GBA.

Thanks James! I'm very excited to try all these out (especially Kirby never had that one). I still play Minish Cap & Wario Ware on my DS Lite (because I love how much better it looks than on the GBA SP). Now it will be interesting to see how much better they look on a 3DS screen than DS Lite, don’t you think? Of course Gameboy Player on a nice TV isn’t too bad, but not portable.

Been wanting to play Minish Cap for a while. Will be nice to play a Fire Emblem game as well.

I can also get rid of 2 of my GBA carts- Yoshi's Island and Wario Land 4. Oh man, Wario Land 4 is awesome.

About making them available to everyone, you have to remember that these are bare bones GBA games with only the Manual included, you cant even jump to your home etc like you can with the NES games. Even the non-ambassador version of those hasnt been released yet because they dont have all the features yet. Im not saying they wont release them to the public, but I cant see them being released for at least another 12 months minimum.

Wow if that's true (for all regions), then that's 1, 2... 3... 8 games I have never played before +1 I never really owned +1 game I gave to a friend as a good bye gift right there! That's 10 new games for me!

I still have M&L:SS for the GBA so I don't mind the lack of it on that list at all!

If there's a high enough demand (from the new buyers) then they'll release these to the public.

The GBA Classic NES series games have already been released as NES games last September.

Those are some great GBA games! Too bad I missed out on the Ambassador Program, I would have really liked to play Metroid Fusion.

Hopefully they will eventually get released on the 3DS shop despite what Nintendo has already said about that.

While I'm sad that Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Advance Wars 2 didn't make the list, it still is a great collection.
Was really surprised at the inclusion of Minish Cap, that's one of my favourite LoZ games.
I've never played Fire Emblem before - I've heard good things about the series - so that is a very welcome choice.

@25 I hope we do get Seasons/Ages, I spent a good part of my child life playing through those. Not too keen on Majora's Mask, but Nintendo should definitely make it for the fans of the game.

Nintendo might let the public buy GBA games at some point, but I think it's down to whether they can afford to get a team together to spend hours emulating a game to be put on the eShop for a measly £5 or something.

Literally the best list I could have hoped for. Hours of gameplay there! Amazing.

Now all we need is multiplayer, and this'll be perfect. Kirby and the Amazing Mirror was simply...amazing with four players! Used to play it all the time at school with friends. Too bad no multi, though.

Still, there's a disturbing lack of Mario 3 everywhere. It wasn't in the NES games, a Classic NES game, nor in these GBA games. Oh well, good thing I own it multiple times then.

Im sure if you like Adance Wars 2 then you will love Fire Emblem. I like them both but I think I prefer FE over AW2. Pretty much the same kind of stratergy game but with a fantasy twist instead of Sci-Fi. So yeah its a shame Advance Wars 2 didnt make the cut but Fire Emblem was a good choice from Ninty.

Ive just bought a 32GB SD, which got me thinking we are half through december and details on these games were taking so long, anyway Im glad they are here. A more solid and diverse selection IMO, not perfect but it does the trick.

I own all carts except Fire Emblem, well regarded amogst gamers but I think there are many people like me who are not that into RPGs and would have prefered the more friendly M&LSS over FE . But I think we all agree WW twisted > WW and FZGPL > FZMV... at least I got 3 out of my 5 choices Minish Cap, Amazing mirror and Wario Land 4, nice to have em on 3DS

Nice selection indeed. And while i have most of these games i'm still glad it didn't turn out as conventional as i thought. Looking forward to Yoshi's Island and WarioWare the most since i don't own 'em yet.
I only hope they can make the multiplayer modes work some day.

Warioware Twisted may have required a bit more effort on their part, but as it was never released in Europe, I dont hope they make the effort and release it as an eShop title. The 3DS has everything it needs to make it work and its the only Warioware title I dont own.

BLOODY F-ZERO: MAXIMUM VELOCITY! I have that game, and I hate it so much.

I'm a bit underwhelmed by the last 5 games (there had to be a kirby game in there), but out of all 10 games being offered (for free, of course), I'm excited about Super Circuit, Yoshi's Island, Metroid Fusion, Fire Emblem (I own both GBA games) and of course Minish Cap.

And I'd happily buy other GBA games if Nintendo have the foresight to actually offer them up for sale in the eShop.

I'm also glad we have confirmation of the release date.

Cool list. I have a GBA but I don't have any of those games on the list. The majority of my GBA games are all pokemon or third party titles. Can't wait.

Too bad they aren't going to have 3DS features such as Suspend Game and whatnot. CAN NOT WAIT!

Very nice list. I have to say I was looking forward most to Zelda Minish Cap, since it is one Zelda i have never really got to play. It would be hard just to focus on it though with Wario Land 4, Yoshi's Island, Metroid Fusion, and all the other great games just sitting there waiting to be played.

Fire Emblem alone would have been enough for me.

Now I'll finally be able to play Fire Emblem, Wario Land 4, Minish Cap, and Kirby & and The Amazing Mirror for the first time. I'm especially glad that Kirby is there because Nintendo acted like it wasn't in it before. There might not be Mario & Luigi in there, but this is an excellant list anyway!

The NES games they gave were good games, but I just think they didn't feel right for whatever reason. They feel and look something like a home brewed emulator. Maybe part of it is due to the small screen size they use and lack of save states like the other downloadable virtual console games. That along with the button layout of some of the games. I think the GBA ones may feel a little more at home though.

Amazing. The only thing that could of made this better is Mother 3. I wanted Kirby, I wanted Fire Emblem, I wanted Wario Land, I wanted Minish Cap. I didn't expect F-Zero but it is a welcome surprise! I hope my 3DS gets back this week. It is in the mail and it might get back by Friday...

I will admit, I did want Superstar Saga. I would prefer that to F-Zero (which makes it two racing games) but I'm fine with this.

Just one thing. I wonder when/if they are going to add multiplayer to these because they've given us two racing games and a Kirby game with support for 4 players. They haven't added it to the multiplayer NES games but the NES games didn't really revolve around multiplayer unlike Mario Kart.

I remember them saying they would add it eventually but I hope I remember correctly and I hope that eventually is sooner rather then later.

Either way, I just downloaded Super Mario Kart and am having a blast so it is going to be a good 16 bit week.

This is fantastic. I've never played a fire emblem game or this Zelda so I'm very happy.

If I'd had my druthers, I'd have picked the first Fire Emblem over Sacred Stones... but I still love the hell out of Sacred Stones, and am Stoked to play Minish Cap and Wario Land 4, so... WOOOHEEE!

Not a bad game in the bunch and a MUCH better pack all around than the NES Ambassador games (I'm looking at you, Donkey Kong Jr., Open Tournament Golf, and Yoshi).

I'm a bit disappointed Advance Wars isn't on the list, but it's probably because Japan never got AW1 and 2 seperately, only on a combo cartridge, meaning there's no single version they can release globally.

Good list overall, except for F-Zero. I never could get into the 2D F-Zero games.

I think we got Fire Emblem to perhaps publicise the 3DS version.

Sacred Stones is my cecond Favorite FE game, after Gaiden, so I'm happy.

This lineup looks a lot better than the NES ones.

F-Zero:MV and Warioland 4 would be my candidates as I've either played or am good on playing the rest of the titles, and I'm exactly making a b-line for those. I think the only GBA game I've wanted to play and never did would be Metroid Prime Pinball.

Are these the ones that they won't sell? I think that's pretty dumb. My kids would like some of these, but because we didn't get a 3DS until this xmas, they are SOL? It makes no sense. Give the games free to ambassadors, absolutely, but not sell them at all to others? Why?

Actually, I think its funny but I don't like the Minish Cap at all. I have every other zelda game, and Minish Cap to me is like the Handheld equivalent of Majoras Mask; A highly overrated game. XD

I tried telling him it's playable, just not my favorite.

The Ambassador PROGRAM (not scheme) has officially sealed my allegiance with Nintendo for life. I really feel like the company cares for their loyal costumers and respects our business.

Microsoft or Sony would never do anything to this extent. They would probably just offer some DLC or exclusive characters for a dumb game via feeding money to the evil GAMESTOP.

I also agree that the 3DS has been nothing but a "Zelda Machine!" Best thing ever for Zelda fans. I'd like to get some Pokemon in the mix of all this fun!

Keep in mind that they only said they don't have plans to release them. They didn't say they would never be released, they just don't have immediate plans for them. A few months ago, Nintendo of America said they had no plans for releasing Xenoblade Chronicles; now, it is slated for an April release.

I hope they offer Minish Cap to everyone. Thats one of my favorite looking Zelda's. I will pay top dollar Nintendo top dollar dang it.

All of these should be made available to everyone eventually, but the one I want the most is Minish Cap! My Zelda 3DS NEEDS it (and the 2 upcoming NES games) to be complete. I hope too that the oracle games (as virtual console games), ALttP (as a 3d classic), and MM3D (after the new 3ds Zelda, of course) will be made available-maybe throw in ports of TWW and FSA, too. That would be 15 out of 17 games on my special edition 3ds, making it really the best Zelda console ever. This is of course wishful thinking, and I highly doubt all of those will happen, but if it did happen I'd buy every single one (that I don't already own). Make it happen, Nintendo!

I was really hoping Golden Sun would be in the batch but that's okay because, with the exception of Metroid Fusion, I never owned a single one of these titles when they originally released. This is a much better bunch of games compared to the 10 we recieved from the NES.

I love how they completely skipped the original SMB2-remake Super Mario Advance....sigh* Not that i really care anyways since i own a copy but seeing SMB2 get the shaft is kind of annoying. Can't say i care too much for these free Ambassoder games considering it just all seems overwhelming, and I'd rather just score the carts and play them on my DS Lite.

They probably didn't think it enough unique content after giving us Super Mario All Stars on the Wii. It'll likely be one of the first games they do sell when more GBA games come to the service.

I'm not eligable for the ambassador games so have today ordered minish cap GBA cartridge on eBay and will use it with my old NDS lite

Nintendo knows their stuff. I feel great about paying a bit more for my 3DS I've only played Mega Microgames and Metroid Fusion before, both were truly awesome games.

Okay, so apparently I was right about everything, from the waiting-to-the-last-minute to the inclusion of Minish Cap and Fire Emblem.

I don't know about anybody else, but considering the entire list is composed of some of the GBA's best games, I'd say I'm pretty satisfied with this.

I hope Nintendo sells these games to non ambassadors. I'll be sure to mention that in my post play surveys (of course I'm only one person, but maybe others will do so and request GBA games in general on the eShop, a lot of people would be willing to pay for them, I know I would).....

We're still waiting... ;/ I have a theory that they'll just show up today or tomorrow and the notification will come after I downloaded them (like with the NES games.) NoA is lacking in this notification department.

@sonicman1011 I noticed that. I downloaded Blaster Master: Enemy Below (a big fan of the original NES game) and yeah, I noticed no gba games. I guess it'll either be tomorrow or next week.

Hopefully it will still be today or tomorrow...I hate when they release everything on Sunday. Why don't they do it on a Friday so you can actually enjoy it over the weekend??
Oh well anyway, my guess with these will still be tomorrow night sometime....probably without warning.

Australia has them, now Japan does. Europe should be next, then us. If we don't have them by tomorrow afternoon, then I would start freaking out lol I think with the NES games, they just simply started with us and then worked backwards, or forwards, as the case may be.

@Wolfpacleader1986 I do get it. I posted about this in the "GBA games - when will they roll out?" thread. I'm super pissed at NoA. I think they need to fire and re-hire their whole North American division. However, with these being free games (gifts) I really don't think we should complain. I AM complaining, however, about NoA's lack of support with its customer base. It truly does suck, and doesn't live up to what other regions of the world are offering and supporting their customers.

all right, all right, it's time to chill. I'm sure Nintendo appreciates our patience; they're probably as eager to get the Ambassador games out as we are to play them. :3

This is growing quite funny. Actually I found them quite helpful, all of my downloads before I linked to the eshop were added to my club nintendo in a day or 2 after I asked.

@Wolfpacleader1986: There are three main Nintendo's. NoA, NoJ and NoE. Get used to that.
NoA told you guys you'd get the games until December 31st. Today is December 15th so there's still quite some time for 'em. In this case i don't see how they're doing anything wrong yet.

Thankfully, I downloaded the wonderful Blaster Master: Enemy Below this morning to help pass the time and I suggest my North American brothers do so, too. It's a wonderful game! Probably better than half of those free GBA games lol Ok. Maybe not. But close!

I can't wait to play Zelda: Minish Cap, you guys. I don't think you quite understand. haha.. It was just one of the most fantastic games I've ever played and it's been well over 6 years (2005, I think) since I've laid my eyes on that terrific game. Every part of it enchanted me and it reawakened my love for playing video games after a 5 year hiatus, since the old days of the NES and the Super Nintendo and N64. Ok. I'm getting weird now. Just know that I love the game tremendously! The other games are great classics in their own rights, as well. I'm so grateful that Nintendo is giving us these games.
