Controvento was first made years ago at our estate in Castiglione Falletto, when the leading international strains first established themselves in Piedmont, and we felt the need to reaffirm the existence of important indigenous grapes that deserved attention.

Produced in the area of the great Nebbiolos, it shares the same exposures and proves that intensity and character can co-exist with elegance and smoothness.

A seductive, versatile wine, it can accompany sumptuous northern Italian cuisine as well as new oriental crossover creations.
