X-Men

Out with the old and in with the… old again?

In what's shaping up to be an epic day for "X-Men" movie news, it now appears that Matthew Vaughn has tapped out of directing his planned "X-Men: First Class" sequel.

But here's the kicker: at the top of the list of filmmakers to replace Vaughn is none other than Bryan Singer, the man who directed the first two "X-Men" movies and served as producer on "First Class."

Arrow

Don't make Arrow angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Oliver Queen is out for justice for the citizens of Starling City, taking criminals and the corrupt off the street one carefully aimed arrow at a time. A brand new poster for the CW series has arrived online today courtesy of TV Line, just ahead of the show's string of sweeps episodes — and as you can see by the emerald-tipped arrow over Oliver's eye, our hero means business.

Goon

You wanna see a friggin' "Goon" movie? Then you better be ready to friggin' pay! Blur Studios has launched a Kickstarter campaign to get funding for their long awaited adaptation of Eric Powell's Dark Horse series, and our friends at MTV Geek have a big, long interview with the team's Tim Miller and Jeff Fowler all about their plans.

Supercrooks

Mark Millar is a man who knows what he wants — and when it comes to casting the adaptation of his and Leinil Yu's comic book series "Supercrooks," Millar wants a hangover.

The "Kick-Ass" creator posted a message on his blog today stumping for Bradley Cooper to play the lead role in a movie based on "Supercrooks," which tells the tale of a group of super-villains pulling off one last great heist.

"I am literally calling up his guys tomorrow and want to secure him as Johnny Bolt." writes Millar. "It's about TIME he did a super-movie and having him as a likeable super-villain in a super-heist flick sounds about perfect."

Kid Loki

"Marvel's The Avengers" made a bit of a monster out of the God of Mischief, but that hasn't stopped fans across the world from signing up as devoted members of Loki's army. Tom Hiddleston did masterful work with the character opposite Earth's mightiest heroes, and he'll continue his devious ways in "Thor: The Dark World."

But the movies aren't the only place where Loki currently thrives, and Hiddleston would be the first to point that out.

Kieron Gillen is the writer of "Journey into Mystery," the Marvel Comics series chronicling the adventures of Kid Loki, a globally adored character. Robot 6 has discovered that Hiddleston is one of Kid Loki's biggest fans, as the actor made his praise known in the letters column for the final issue of Gillen's run on "Journey."

Wolverine

Stop calling "The Wolverine" a prequel; it's anything but.

Despite earlier thinking, Hugh Jackman's second solo outing as Logan isn't a sequel to "X-Men Origins" and a prequel to everything else; his Japanese journey takes place after the events of "X-Men: The Last Stand," director James Mangold has revealed, positioning "The Wolverine" as the most current moment in "X-Men" cinematic continuity.
