St. Luke celebrates 125th anniversary

RIVER FOREST — Back around the end of the Civil War, St. Luke Parish Church was in its earliest incarnation as the St. Thomas Mission. Now the church, which was established in 1887 with its first full-time pastor John Waldron, is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
