Total Film presents.. yet another generic list with no insight or effort for people of a certain age and cinematic bent.

agree with marknash.........This list is just completely random movie moments, nothing partculalrly "goosebumpy" about majority of them! It just basically a list of "scenes we like"! These lists go up and down in terms of sense, why not just stick to 10 or max 20 greatest things, rather than just finding any old stuff to make 50.

"Thou shall not pass!"? Way to misquote the goosebump moment people!

Here's a suggestion: why not do a list on the most iconic movie scenes?

I rather liked this list; an interesting mix. I, like timbatman, don't think Gandalf said that and I also disagree with the number 1 spot (not that I think the list was in any particular order). I've never liked Magnolia because I could never get over the fact that when I first saw it I couldn't help but think "Didn't Robert Altman already make this film?". I concede that I'm in the minority with it. Aimee Mann gets bonus points for singing in Squeeze though ;)

Not sure about a Great White Shark eating a little boy, great cinema, but goosebumps, hmm. What about - Watership Down a couple of moments there - The big finale for Strictly Ballroom, way better than dirty dancing - Braveheart, "Freedom!" - Lawrence of Arabia, "Nothing is written" - Raiders of the lost Ark, Indy jumps onto the sub - Schindlers List "List is life" - Breakfast at Tiffany's, looking for the cat and probably and unpopular one, but I'll chuck it anyway, the ending for Crocodile Dundee with its fantastic musical rise and the lovely fairytale finish.

The standing-on-tables in Dead Poets Society? Ending to The Dark Knight Rises? Tyler Durdens middle children of history speech?

Manhattan's famous quote wasn't even intended to be part of the movie. I think there was a more pessmistic ending. It's the way it should've been.

Did that ET scene even happen? Was it not the sun they flew past?

The only scene that gives me goosebumps every time is when the Rohirrin charge Suron's army in Return Of The King.

Lighting the Beacons from Return of the King. The sweeping camera and Howard Shores crescendo blasting in the background. Truly spine-tingling.

To all the f****ts complaining about the list being pointless. Why don't you shut up, start your own movie website and try to do better. Idiots.

      # 29 must be one of the biggest misquoted movie lines ever. Shocked you guys got it wrong too! The actual line is: "If you build it, He will come." Not "They".

In my opinion I thought the list didn't feel sincere enough and why the heck was the ending to The Mist not there?! Also I thought T2 deserved to be in the top 5 not #26! But I guess it is another opinionated list where each answer is as good as the next due to it being a list made from opinions.

Not sure i'd class many of these as 'goosebump' moments. I'd class something like Braveheart's "freeeddoooooommmmmm" as one of those moments and, even though the entirety of the rest of the film sucked b*lls, the 'moment' Anakin takes his first breath with the vader mask in in Revenge of the Sith. I'd class a goosebump moment as one of those times you either get a chill of excitement or emotion rush through you for a brief second.

Some interesting choices, but it think you picked the wrong part in Drive. In my opinion the goosebump moment was a two parter: When A Real Hero is played for the first time, and when it's played again at the end, both just beautiful moments. I would've liked to have seen the end of The Dark Knight Rises (as FBCNorth said above); the end of Chopper - the long zoom that shows just how lonely he is; the moment in 127 Hours where Aron imagines seeing his future son; and the part in Monsters at the tribute to those killed by the creatures.

Lighting the Beacons in Return of the King, The Rohirrin charging on the Mordor invasion in Return of the king or Gandalf and the Rohirrin to the rescue and charging down the side of the mountain at Helms Deep in Two Towers. Is the author aware of what a goosebump moment is? The list just seems to be a random collection of famous movie scenes.
