It has concessions and licenses for the production of minerals from the Dead Sea, concessions for mining phosphate rock in the South, and mining agreements and licenses covering the mining of potash and salt from underground mines in Spain and the United Kingdom. The company also engages in refining crude oil, producing fuel products, and providing raw materials for the petrochemical industry and materials for the plastics industry; and owns a portfolio of hydro-electric, natural gas, and other power plants located in Latin America, as well as focuses on renewable energy, primarily in the solar power and bio-fuels sectors. In addition, it provides container shipping services; and end-to-end shipping services, including overland transport, distribution, and storage, as well as operates a logistics network. Further, Israel Corporation operates electric recharge grid that integrates lithium ion batteries, charge spots, and renewable electricity generation to create a zero emission transportation system based on the use of electric cars, as well as manufactures cars. Additionally, it produces integrated circuits. The company was founded in 1968 and is based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Israel Corporation Ltd. operates as a subsidiary of Ofer Brothers Properties (1957) Ltd.
