Be the voice of our developer community, on both the Stormpath team and in the broader community of developers across languages and locations. You will be responsible for getting developers fired up about Stormpath, and equipping them to implement bad-ass user security in minutes. 

Stormpath is a venture-backed start up building a powerful user management and security service for developers -- an easy-to-use console and sophisticated APIs that manage users in modern applications.  Our CTO leads the Apache Shiro community, and all of our developer tools are open source on GitHub. 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and deploy developer tools (SDKs, sample applications, integrations) to make it easier for developers across all runtimes to deploy Stormpath
  • Generate content that is meaningful to developers: blog posts, how-tos, screencasts 
  • Evangelize, present and geek out with developer communities at hackathons, user nights, conferences, and meetups
  • Represent Stormpath and answer questions in online forums including StackOverflow
  • Advocate for the developer community internally, and influence Stormpath’s product strategy 
  • Work with the team to provide technical support and build a support documentation forum/repository

?Requirements:

  • MUST have US work authorization.  US Citizen or Resident
  • You’re an outgoing nerd. You love meetups and elegant code alike
  • You have a Git ‘Er Done! mentality. We are a team of doers, and everyone pitches in
  • Excellent writing skills. Our community is global and proactive online
  • BA/BS degree 
  • Strong experience programming in and a passion for one or more of the following languages: Ruby, Python, Java, PHP
  • Experience blogging, writing technical articles, and contributing to online forums like StackOverflow
  • You enjoy keeping up with trends and playing with new web development technologies
