Kristen Bell is pregnant, expecting a baby with Dax Shepard

Kristen Bell is pregnant, expecting a baby with fiance Dax Shepard — but don't expect them to get married because of it.

"They’re so excited — they’re both ecstatic," a friend of the couple told People, which confirmed with their rep Monday that the little one is due in late spring.

The two have been together since 2007 and got engaged over the holidays in 2009, but aren't in a rush to the altar: They want same-sex marriage to be legal in California before they say "I do."

"We're not punishing America by not getting married....," Shepard, 37, told CNN back in August. "We're not going to have a party and invite our friends, half of whom can't [get married]. We're not going to ask them to come celebrate a rite they don't have. That's just tacky."

Added Bell, 32, "I don't believe in standing in the way of love, and I want to stand up for that right. And that's what it is. If someone wants to commit their life to another person, why would I not bolster that argument?"

Sharon Osbourne reveals 'no-brainer' double mastectomy

Sharon Osbourne has had a preventive double mastectomy after learning she carried a mutated gene indicating a much higher risk of breast cancer, "The Talk" panelist has revealed to a British magazine.

"For me, it wasn't a big decision, it was a no-brainer," she told Hello! "I didn't want to live the rest of my life with that shadow hanging over me. I want to be around for a long time and be a grandmother to Pearl."

Osbourne had previously battled colon cancer, and had her breast implants removed a year ago, declaring well in advance that once removed, the implants would be husband Ozzy Osbourne's to use as a paperweight. By the time she had them removed, however, one had leaked into her stomach wall, something she said helped put her off plastic surgery for good.

The double mastectomy reportedly took 13 hours.

"I didn't even think of my breasts in a nostalgic way," she told the magazine. "I just wanted to be able to live my life without that fear all the time."

The 2012 presidential campaign is almost over, and slowly but surely the celebrities have announced their endorsements. Though some are worth more than others. Joss Whedon has endorsed Mitt Romney (in a way), and now "The Simpsons'" Mr. Burns, owner of Springfield's nuclear power plant, titan of corporate capitalism and honcho in the Springfield Republican Party, has come out with his own backhanded endorsement of the Republican nominee.

'Breaking Dawn — Part 2': Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner speak

After roughly a year since the release of the first half of "The Twilight Saga" finale — with a slew of other projects and a cheating scandal in between — Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are ready to give us "Breaking Dawn — Part 2."

The film saw its press junket Thursday in Los Angeles, where the three leads chatted with media both domestic and international — revealing some nerves, excessive touches and fond remembrances.

"Remember when I almost puked in the tent?" Stewart asked her costars in an interview with MTV News, above.

She's referring to a memorable moment in the franchise, from "Eclipse," in which Lautner's Jacob Black must warm Stewart's shivering Bella in a tent atop a frigid mountain, while undead and unwarm Edward (Pattinson) is forced to watch.

"She was not feeling well that night," Lautner recalled. Kristen chalked it up to nerves. But Rob mostly remembers getting handsy.

"I remember grabbing your boob all the time in this one,...

Amanda Bynes is reportedly threatening to sue over a story that said she wandered naked through the lobby of a tanning salon.

Amanda Bynes threatens to sue over tanning salon story

Amanda Bynes has reportedly threatened to sue a tabloid magazine over a story that claims she wandered around a New York tanning salon completely naked in search of goggles to wear.

The recent InTouch Weekly story cited an unnamed eyewitness who said the former Nickelodeon star seemed "totally out of it" as she reportedly walked around the main lobby before returning to a private spray-tan room.

"I'm not 'troubled,'" Bynes told Us Weekly on Thursday as she declared her intent to sue InTouch. "I don't get naked in public. I'm 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy."

She said the story was completely false.

Contradicting the InTouch account, a store employee told Us that Bynes, a frequent tanning customer, was "always polite" and usually just popped in and out.

Bynes' life has been under a bit of a microscope lately as she faces a DUI allegation, two hit-and-run charges and a couple of counts of driving with a suspended license.

But it's comforting to know that, despite...

Marisa Tomei endorses the buddy system in get-out-the-vote ad

Marisa Tomei is one of the latest celebs to get into the election game with a humorous video showing how friends can help friends get out and vote on election day.

The idea is to offer a hand so that all who are eligible can cast a ballot, and to spread the "I'm voting" message through social media. That said, the actress' babysitter character might be a bit too enthusiastic for the likes of the young fellow she intends to tend to.

Rad video games and Clooney-authorized inflammables, anyone?

Though the Tomei video, above, and the social-media app that's partnered with it come courtesy of progressive group MoveOn.org, the get-out-the-vote message is one that should resonate on both sides of the aisle come Tuesday.

Also out there are Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt, who hit a Colorado campaign office last weekend to energize workers on behalf of President Obama.

Hamm also took the opportunity to record a vote-early video targeting Coloradans, showing the "Obama" box prominently checked in all...

Kellie Pickler's shaved head is a star attraction at the CMAs

Kellie Pickler's shaved head may not be as buzzed as it was back in September, but it certainly was buzz-worthy on the Country Music Awards red carpet Thursday night.

"My sister is with child. Everybody wants to rub her belly," Pickler told CMT on the red carpet Thursday night. "And everybody wants to rub my head!"

Pickler shaved her head in early September in support of lifelong pal Summer Miller, who was diagnosed with breast cancer and started chemo two days after the buzzing.

"We made a pact from the get-go that we would shave our heads together," Pickler told E! Online, "and we did." With Miller diagnosed in her mid-30s, the goal was to send a message that early detection of breast cancer is crucial.

(Giuliana Rancic similarly was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 36, years before she'd intended to get her first mammogram.)

Pickler's look is a sharp contrast to the "American Idol" alum's typically flowing blond locks. But there...

Judge boots case against Britney Spears' parents, conservatorship

The accusations in Sam Lutfi's case against Britney Spears' parents and her conservators may have been sensational, but the evidence just didn't hold up — at least in the eyes of the judge, who tossed the suit Thursday before it made it to the jury.

Lutfi's lawsuit had accused Britney's mom Lynne Spears of libel, her dad Jamie Spears of battery and her conservatorship of failing to pay him a 15% fee on the singer's income during the time he claimed to have been her manager. His side rested its case Tuesday.

On Thursday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Suzanne Bruguera agreed with the Spears side's attorneys, who had argued insufficient evidence — for example, lack of a binding managerial contract — had been presented to back up Lutfi's accusations.

Opening arguments by Lutfi's side had accused the singer of heavy drug use before her 2008 meltdown, and the singer's former confidant testified that Jamie Spears had hit him in the stomach and...

Evan Rachel Wood marries Jamie Bell

Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell are married!

The "Thirteen" and "True Blood" actress, 25, and "Billy Elliott" star, 26, tied the knot in a small ceremony Tuesday, a Wood rep confirmed to People.

The two got engaged early this year, according to Us Weekly, which said the bride wore a custom Chantilly lace mermaid gown by Carolina Herrera.

The bride and groom met in 2005 when they shot a Green Day video together and dated for a year. Wood was later engaged to goth rocker Marilyn Manson, whom she dated on and off for four years. That relationship snapped for good in August 2010, with Bell and Wood reconnecting in summer 2011.

"Words cannot describe the happiness i am feeling," Wood tweeted Wednesday. "Overwhelming."

By Thursday she was reflective, retweeting this bit of wisdom:

"They say the wedding ring goes on the left ring finger, because it's the only finger with a vein that connects to the heart."

Award on tap for Jodie Foster; Kristen Stewart delivers the news

Jodie Foster will be taking home the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, it was announced Thursday in Hollywood.

Foster, 49, has three feature films under her belt as a director and has acted in dozens more. She has two Oscars and two Golden Globes, for "The Accused" and "The Silence of the Lambs."

The announcement was made Thursday morning by Kristen Stewart, Foster's "Panic Room" costar, who took the stage with actor Simon Baker on behalf of the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn.

"This is a special moment for me," Stewart said during the announcement. "She's been really important in my life for a long time."

It may have been a bit of a tight turnaround for Stewart, who was spottedout Wednesday night at a Halloween party hosted by Maroon 5 at the Hollywood Forever...
