New info on Dead Island Riptide has revealed a new weather system, tower defence-sounding booby traps and fence elements to hold of zombies, and fifth character called John Morgan. New Dead Island Riptide’s new character Morgan’s bio simply says (without any real justification), “For years he has trained himself – and become a master – in hand-to-hand combat”. GTA 5 now available for pre-order

Rockstar have announced that GTA 5 is now available for pre-order, NOW! GAME, Play, Zavvi and HMV are among the retailers listed although there’s no mention yet of any pre-order incentives (like the leaked GTA 5 image viewers) or collector’s editions.

Hitman Absolution originally started with 47 as “a filthy homeless guy with a three-legged dog”

I would have loved to have seen this version of Absolution: according to IO the game very nearly had a completely different story that saw 47 starting the game as a hobo with dog. And possibly a shotgun.

Games generally don’t do harmony. Most would rather let you destroy life than nurture it. Sure, they’re great at letting you off rare rhinos (oh, Cabela’s) or allowing you to pummel men trying to offer you a pork bun (good old Sleeping Dogs). But the majority would rather let you blow stuff to pieces than have you forge peace. That’s the main reason I love Okami: it’s basically videogame Ghandi.
