LA GRANGE — The La Grange Business Association (LGBA) will host its first-ever Halloween Walk & Fall Festival in La Grange Saturday, Oct. 27, starting at 10 a.m. through the downtown area.
Get ready for a day of fall-themed activities that will have the families of La Grange out in abundance and enjoying the season in the shops and restaurants from the beginning of the festival into the night.
For those looking to take advantage of the shopping and dining offered, a punch card will be distributed throughout the month for those who plan on attending the festivities. Customers will be entered in a “spooktacular” drawing to win great prizes with each $30 in purchases at participating merchants on Oct. 27.
The Halloween Walk will kick things off as staffers from the Greater La Grange YMCA lead costumed pirates, witches, monsters and their families on a trick-or-treat parade through the business district.
A unique line-up of activities throughout the day includes: a pie eating contest at The Runner’s Soul, pumpkin decorating contest at Consign and Redesign, make-your-own caramel apple at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, face painting and costume contest at Chimera’s Comics, costume contest and psychic at D’Olivas Boutique, Halloween bingo at La Grange Pointe, pet photos at The Urban Mutt, public painting party from Bottle and Bottega, bean bag toss for kids at Fireside Pizza and wine tasting at Bella Bacinos. Some retailers will offer fall specials, like Lilett Candies Gourmet Chocolate Shop, B Boutique and Hot Rags. The Carousel Shop will feature 50% off all Halloween costumes and décor and The Dental Loft rises to the occasion with a Stop Zombie Mouth booth.
