Games generally don’t do harmony. Most would rather let you destroy life than nurture it. Sure, they’re great at letting you off rare rhinos (oh, Cabela’s) or allowing you to pummel men trying to offer you a pork bun (good old Sleeping Dogs). But the majority would rather let you blow stuff to pieces than have you forge peace. That’s the main reason I love Okami: it’s basically videogame Ghandi.

    WWE 13 ps3 preview Sheamus

NO! NO! NO! Where in the blue hell is Daniel Bryan’s hairy, goatlike hairy face-garden? The recent breakthrough star’s beard is way too kempt in WWE 13. Which is strange, because in every other way, this suplexfest offers the most accurate, slavishly detailed wrasslin’ fan service you’ve ever seen. It’s also got the Attitude of a ten-time undisputed champ.

Good news, trophy obsessives. Sony’s upcoming mascot smash ‘em up will reward you with a shiny imaginary pot for beating up beloved PlayStation icons on specific fighting stages. Pity there’s only one gold trinket, mind.

Doom 3: BFG Edition PS3 review – We’d rather have the friendly giant

Attention all of videogames: stop trying to colonise Mars. Setting up shop on the Red Planet only ends in misery and… usually painful death to the face. Whether it’s civil wars and smashy giant hammers in Red Faction or battling Mass Effect 3’s evil Cerberus soldiers, our virtual PS3 pals should just stick to Earth. Or, in the case of this port of an eight-year-old PC shooter, not even bother leaving the house.
