In 2011 I passed the peer review process to become a member of the ACT training community. In November 2011 I was appointed by the ACBS Board as Chair of the ACBS Training Committee.

Additional Information
My work on the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programme involves teaching ACT, as well as providing a clinical placement in the pain service, which can be ACT based. I also supervise the doctoral dissertations of DClinPsychol and PhD students.

Our lab is working on several current ACT based research topics including the development of the Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire (in collaboration with Helen Bolderston and Frank Bond), as well as an intervention for Irritable Bowel Syndrome and several cross sectional designs using questionnaire methods to test various predictions from ACT and Cognitive models concerning adjustment and living well in chronic conditions such as pain, IBS, diabetes and psychosis.

I deliver training in ACT on a consultancy basis. If you are interested in purchasing ACT training contact me via email. You can also check out my training page for goodies: http://contextualpsychology.org/david_gillanders_training_page

Finally; I have been serving the community as a committee member of the BABCP ACT SIG between 2006 and 2012 and was involved in helping to establish the first board of the UK Chapter of ACBS.
