State Board Blocks Bid by Texas A&M; U. to Add Law Program
Texas A&M University's hopes of adding a law program suffered a major setback last month, when a panel of the state's Higher Education Coordinating Board said Texas doesn't need a fifth public law school.
The university's push for a law school has raised a controversy over the state's role in regulating the expansion plans of public colleges.
