Someday, someone is going to write a fascinating account of Warner Bros.' Sysyphean efforts to make a Justice League movie.

If the latest rumor is to be believed, then a chapter in that entirely-hypothetical The Devil's Candy-style tome could be devoted to Will Beall's Justice League script, which, according to the rumor, is being kicked to the curb entirely.

As the one and only Film Crit Hulk has pointed out, Edgar Wright is a once-in-a-generation filmmaker, a director whose style is ahead of its time yet totally of the moment and undeniably great.  So for fans of Wright and big comic book movies, it's been torturous waiting for Wright's Ant-Man to come to fruition at Marvel Studios.

A new rumor purports to map out the future of the cinematic Hulk, and, if true, reveals some crucially important plot points for The Avengers 2 and more.

For four decades now, through tectonic shifts in animation technology and much controversy, the International Animated Film Association has done its part during awards season, acknowledging excellence in the animated arts.  The 40th Annual Annie awards went down at UCLA's Royce Hall this weekend at a ceremony hosted by Leonard Maltin, Rob Paulsen, and Maurice Lamarche, with a surprise appearance from Seth Green.

The big winner at this year's Annie Awards was definitely Disney's Wreck-It Ralph, which won no fewer than five awards.

For months, Marvel has been looking for an actress to portray Cap's as-yet unknown love interest in next year's Captain America: The Winter Soldier.  Many a fine young actress has her name associated with the part, but it turns out that the role has gone to none of the contenders previously mentioned.

Instead, Emily VanCamp has been selected by directors Joe and Anthony Russo to play against Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, the Avenger out of time.
