When Bistro owner Sandy Stilwell acquired the restaurant space shortly after purchasing Captiva Island Inn, her vision for the enterprise was to provide visitors a relaxed yet elegant destination dining experience, marrying the multifarious flavors of island living with classic american cuisine. Keylime Bistro is that vision realized, a refreshing restaurant with celebrated dishes like Paella Valencia, Tuna Tataki and of course, Keylime Pie.
It’s rare to find a place where you can hear quality live music seven days a week. For lunch and dinner at Keylime, this is part of the package, where the type of music is as varied as the menu. From established island guitar players to “jazz brunch,” the live music at Keylime appeals to many tastes.
You’d be remiss not to try anything on the menu with the restaurant’s namesake. The Keylime Pie is famous in this area, and rightfully so. Later in the evening, try the signature Keylime Martini, made with Ke Ke Beach, a creamy lime-flavored liquor, and garnished on the rim with savory graham cracker crust. The bar also specializes in the ever-popular frozen drinks that people associate with beach vacations.
