Opening in select theaters on March 15th is the new music documentary Reincarnated from first time filmmaker Andy Capper. The movie follows Hip Hop artist Snoop Dogg as he travels to Jamaica to record his first reggae album, changes his name to Snoop Lion, and takes a look back at his impressive career, which has spanned almost twenty years. In addition to Snoop, the film features interviews with musicians Dr. Dre, Bunny Wailer, Damian Marley, Stewart Copeland, and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan

IAR Managing Editor Jami Philbrick recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Snoop Lion in his recording studio to talk about filming Reincarnated, as well as changing his name, and smoking pot. The artist formally known as Snoop Dogg discussed the new documentary, why he decided to make the movie, opening up to the filmmaker about his personal life, his decision to leave the rap game and make a reggae album, why he changed his name, and Snoop's answer to comedian/marijuana activist Bill Maher's recent comments that he thinks Snoop smokes too much pot.
