Director Shawn Levy is one of the most successful filmmakers in Hollywood with his movies having grossed over $2 billion at the worldwide box office.

He first gained attention for the romantic comedy Just Married, and followed it up with the Steve Martin comedies Cheaper by the Dozen and The Pink Panther. But it was the box office smash Night at the Museum starring Ben Stiller that cemented him as one of Hollywood’s top directors. His hot streak would continue with the film’s sequel - Night at the Museum: Battle at the Smithsonian, as well as Date Night, and Real Steel. Levy will soon start production on Night at the Museum 3, and is attached to direct the James Cameron-produced 3D sci-fi remake of Fantastic Voyage, and an untitled Sesame Street movie. But first, his latest comedy The Internship, which stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, will be available on Blu-ray and DVD beginning October 22nd.

The Internship, which is based on a story by Vince Vaughn with a script by Vaughn and Jared Stern, revolves around two salesmen (Vaughn and Wilson) whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital age. They ultimately find their way into a coveted internship at Google, where they must compete with a group of young, tech-savvy geniuses for a shot at employment. In addition to Vaughn and Wilson, the film also stars Rose Byrne (X-Men: First Class), Max Minghella (The Social Network), Joanna Garcia (American Pie 2), Dylan O’Brian (TV’s Teen Wolf), Jessica Szohr (Tower Heist), Josh Gad (21) and John Goodman (The Artist).

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Shawn Levy about his work on The Internship. The talented filmmaker discussed his latest movie, developing the idea with Vince Vaughn, Vaughn and Wilson’s on screen chemistry, improvisation, getting Google to sign off on the project, and the young actors that he cast in the film.

In my opinion, Drive is not only the best film of the last ten years, but one of the greatest movies of all-time!

I watched Drive three times in theaters, and I’ve now seen it countless times on DVD, Blu-ray, and Netflix. A big part of what made Drive so brilliant was the music of composer Cliff Martinez. Martinez also composed the music for one of my other favorite movies of all-time, director Steven Soderbergh’s underrated masterpiece The Limey. In fact, a bulk of Martinez’s work has been for Soderbergh on films like Kafka, Traffic, Solaris, and Contagion. He has also composed such films as Pump Up the Volume, Narc, The Lincoln Lawyer, Spring Breakers, and The Company You Keep. But recently, he has collaborated with director Nicolas Winding Refn on Drive, and his latest film Only God Forgives, which is available on Blu-ray beginning October 22nd.

Only God Forgives was written by Refn and follows Julian (Ryan Gosling), a drug-smuggler thriving in Bangkok's criminal underworld who sees his life get even more complicated when his mother (Kristen Scott Thomas) compels him to find and kill whoever is responsible for his brother's (Tom Burke) recent death. In addition to Gosling, Thomas, and Burke, the film also features Thai actor Vithaya Pansringarm (The Hangover Part II).

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Cliff Martinez about his work on Only God Forgives. The accomplished composer discussed the new movie, how it is different than Drive, working with director Nicolas Winding Refn, creating the music for Only God Forgives, why music is so important to filmmaking, and my personal love for Drive!

Actors David Boreanaz and Julian McMahon have both been involved with several successful network and cable television series throughout their careers, but now they are taking their talents to DIRECTV!

Boreanaz made his television mark as Angel on The WB/UPN series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and later on The WB’s Angel, but he can currently be seen as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth on the popular FOX series Bones. McMahon first gained attention on NBC’s The Profiler, and later as Cole Turner on The WB’s Charmed, but it was his role as plastic surgeon Christian Troy on FX’s Emmy Award-winning series Nip/Tuck that made him beloved by TV fans everywhere. Now the two actors come together for the forth episode of the new DIRECTV series Full Circle entitled Stanley & Jace, which premieres October 16th.

The series was written and created by director and playwright Neil LaBute, and is quite unique in that each episode takes place at a restaurant and only features two actors at a table talking. Each following episode will include one of the actors from the previous episode, and will also introduce a new character. In the previous episode - Bridgette & Stanley, we were introduced to McMahon’s character Stanley, a powerful entertainment lawyer who had just broken up with by his trophy wife (Minka Kelly) because she was having an affair with the son (Tom Felton) of his former lover. Now, Stanley is having dinner with his client Jace (Boreanaz), a stand-up comedian who has had his career threatened when he Tweets a homophobic joke that causes a young man to kill himself. Stanley is trying to get Jace to realize the severity of his actions and find away to save his doomed career.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with David Boreanaz and Julian McMahon about Full Circle. The two talented actors discussed the new series, why they wanted to work with series creator Neil LaBute, the show’s unusual structure, how it’s similar to doing theater, collaborating with episode director Mimi Leder (The Peacemaker), where they drew inspiration for their characters, the episode’s theme of social media, and how DIRECTV and other outlets are changing the landscape of television.
