The Alliance of Small Businesses is pleased to host a Small Business Expo in conjunction with The Business Factory of Frederick in May. Our Small Business Expo will take place on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 at The Business Factory of Frederick in Frederick, MD. We want the public to know that SMALL BUSINESS IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS. This is your opportunity to let the community know you exist and to see what goods and services you have to offer.

The site of the Expo is at a new work cooperative space along East Street in Frederick, Maryland. The Business Factory of Frederick offers a work environment that can accommodate the self-employed, artists, nonprofits, and other groups. They regularly hosts events, learning sessions, and art shows too. You can learn more about them at www.bizfactoryfrederick.com.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for small businesses that sell food, provide entertainment activities, people who have created their own businesses from the ground floor up, or local companies with services to the community (community banks, realtors, sport instructors, musicians, physicians, etc.).

We are especially wanting those gifted entrepreneurs who still make crafts with their hands (painters, confectioners, potters, farmers, florists, and furniture makers).

The cost to participate is $150 for two days and $75 for two days for members. Bring your own tent, table and any display or accessories. There are also limited spaces available at an additional $25/day for displays requiring electrical outlets.
