Well, not directly, of course. But let's check the score card after the first home game:
- Keep ticket prices low and parking free. $12 and $15 tickets due to the voucher pack. Free parking. SCORE.
- Make it easy. Very easy. SCORE.
- Don't be gimmicky. Didn't see any gimmicks other than the little MSC Academy teams at half time but hey, that is fun for them. The game, however, was excellent. Good quality. SCORE.
- But have a little pomp n' circumstance. I missed the beginning, to be honest, but it seemed ok...CROSS BAR, perhaps?
- Create rivalries. So, people cheered for Abby Wambach, and for good reason as she is an immense talent and a star. But, people cheered passionately when the Spirit was awarded a PK immediately after the Flash's goal. Maybe not a rivalry yet but people were certainly there for the Spirit too. CROSS BAR.
- SWAG - haven't been in a store to check. We'll let this slide for now.
- Have good food. Didn't try any but it sure smelled great.
- Have good beer. No Flying Dog but the beer garden is a nice set up and prices are reasonable. $5 for a Yuengling is fine. At least it wasn't $9 for a Bud light. SCORE.
- Get a good announcer. Not much announcing...to soon to tell?
- Make good use of new media. No covereage on Patch today. A couple of pics on Facebook. Nothing on WTOP, Washington Post. Some Twitter traffic. Need to up this. OVER THE BAR.
- Don't allow Dan Borislow anywhere near the pitch. Didn't see him. SCORE.
Game review: I really enjoyed it. The quality was good. The pace was fast. There was lots of action. The fans were involved and the atmosphere was fun.

UPDATE:
#9: Get a good announcer: Judge for yourself. The first half of the game is here: http://youtu.be/yye-ah36ceA. Not bad.
#10: Make good use of new media: starting to see some posts and traffic on Twitter, etc. The WashingtonPost, for some reason, posted a picture from a training session. Need to get this moving.
