Bastila Shan

In the days of the Old Republic, Bastila Shan was one of the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy. Exceeding all but a few Masters in the Order, Bastila was one of the few Force users to utilize the coveted Battle Meditation technique, a form of concentration that could affect the outcome of a large scale battle by thought alone. Only Master Yoda and a handful of others, centuries later, would be able to fully comprehend and master this skill's true potential.

In the Xbox title Knights of the Old Republic, Bastila is one of your character's primary companions in the search for the Star Forge. Often brash and sometimes overconfident, she would fight alongside you and your followers as if unstoppable, and she would also frequently remind you of her self-proclaimed superiority. However, once you warmed up to her, she would eventually let her defenses down and, if you played your cards right, she would also fall in love with you.

Designed and modeled after actress Kate Beckinsale, it's easy to see why Bastila became the KOTOR franchise's public face (often next to the game's main villain, Darth Malak). As one of the few female figures in the story, the character was easily pigeon-holed as an Old Republic counterpart to Princess Leia in the game's principle trio.
