Rainforest Alliance Verified™ Mark
The Rainforest Alliance Verified™ mark communicates a business' commitment to reducing its environmental impact and is awarded to climate, tourism and certain forestry enterprises and projects that meet criteria developed (or endorsed) by the Rainforest Alliance. The verification mark may only be used on off-product marketing and promotional materials.
Forestry Products
Businesses or projects that have reached appropriate milestones as set forth and verified by the following Rainforest Alliance programs may apply for the Rainforest Alliance Verified mark:
- SmartLogging
- SmartStep Forestry verification
- Verification of Legal Origin
- Verification of Defined Source
- Verification of High Conservation Value Forest
- Verification of Legal Compliance
- Generic Chain-of-Custody certification or verification

Forest Carbon Projects
Forest carbon projects that have been verified by the Rainforest Alliance against third-party standards, with which we are aligned, may be eligible to use the Rainforest Alliance Verified mark. Please review the Verification Mark Usage Guidelines [PDF] for further information.
Tourism Enterprises
Tourism businesses working with us to adopt best management practices may be eligible to use the Rainforest Alliance Verified mark. Please review the Verification Mark Usage Guidelines [PDF] for further information.
Use of all Rainforest Alliance marks must be pre-approved in writing by the Rainforest Alliance.
