"Having cheated death, the grim reaper then comes back to pick them off one by one..." Wait, so the grim reaper cheated death?

I would add Mars Attacks! to that list. Sure, out of the 2 dozen A-listers to star in that film, only Tom Jones, Pam Grier, and a pre-famous Natalie Portman survives but that's a lot of dead superstars in one movie.

Rec is different as it looks like the girl dies but she is in the sequel so technically didn't in that one. The Decent should be included although the c**p sequel changed the first one's ending.

About "Dawn...". We never see clearly what happened in the end. I like to believe that at least Kenneth (Ving Rhames) made it somehow. And we never saw Butch and Sundance die...some sources say that both deaths are uncertain. Or maybe they replaced all the bullets from the Bolivians with blanks...and walked away!

One more thing: I think "Reservoir Dogs" might qualify too. Even though Mr. Pink's fate might be a bit unclear (we hear him encoutering the police outside....getting arrested or shot??)

In Bruges would fit. Off the top of my head, three of the major players are dead, two bit part actors are dead and one more major player left in question. Not bad for a film with a small cast.

The Blair witch prjoect ---- It wasn't the witch that killed the kids in the legend, it was Rustin Parr the child murderer who lived in the house.

If you've included Dawn of the Dead you should also put in Deep Rising, for exactly the same reasons as Dawn. I'd also add Martyrs (the two most important people die, at least) and any factually-based historical film.

The girl survives at the end of Hatchet, and you've missed Cabin Fever, and almost any other gore flick, A Serbian Film, 2001 Maniacs, Ju On (The Grudge), The Devil's Rejects, and to some extent House Of A Thousand Corpses too...

The Thing and The Descent I definately would have included on the list. I'm aware they made a sequel to The Descent where the main character actually survived the ordeal but I obviously prefer the British version where she doesn't make it out.

Boy, that'd be some trick for Ottway (NOT Ottley) to reconcile with his wife what with her being dead and all.

Granted it's been awhile since I've seen "Night of the Living Dead" and this is bit of a stickler because, yes Ben is shot and killed, but my impression was it might not have been an accident. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Eh not everyone in the Grey dies. Liam Neeson the main character survives, you would know this if you watched the post credits scene.

Is it just me or are about half of the 30 Films Where Everyone Dies At The End, not films where everyone dies at the end?

Yeah; agreed batt101! Also I watched Cloverfield (which I love) again last night and can't see any evidence that Lily dies. There's not even any guarantee that Rob and Beth do.
