Galatasaray are reportedly set to make a move for Southampton's out-of-favour Uruguayan midfielder Gaston Ramirez in January.
The 22-year-old, who joined Saints for £12m last summer, has struggled to live up to expectations in the Premier League and is currently out of favour under Mauricio Pochettino at St Mary's.
The midfielder's agent, Pablo Betancourt, was quoted recently saying that Ramirez does not get on with the Southampton coach to fuel speculation he will be sold on should a suitable offer be forthcoming in the new year.
"Gaston really likes the (Southampton) chairman, Nicola Cortese, but not the coach, Pochettino," were the quotes attributed to the agent in the Daily Mail.
Pochettino, when asked why Ramirez was not playing, said: "I don't want to speak publicly about individual players.
"I don't think that's fair. I just make decisions on what is the best thing for the club, the team. I just make decisions based on training and sports factors."
Turkish giants Gala are said to be keen on Ramirez but Saints may have to take a significant hit on the £12m they shelled out for him, even though there could be other clubs in the Premier League, or elsewhere in Europe, interested in the talented midfielder despite his struggles for Saints.
