Van Halen Symbolize World Peace on 'South Park'
Rockers perform 'Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love' in Israel in the episode

Symbols for Islam, Judaism and Christianity morph together to become Van Halen's "VH" logo in the "Ginger Cow" episode of South Park, which aired last night. In the episode, those three religions settle their differences and a scene set in Jerusalem becomes one of jubilation as a rabbi tells a crowd, "Let us celebrate, under one symbol." After the emblems unite, a bell chimes and the opening chords of Van Halen's "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" come over the loudspeaker, and out comes Eddie. A beyond-stoked man in a yarmulke looks around shouting, "No way! No way!" and the rest of the band comes out. It cuts to a news reporter who explains, "The party is officially underway. Jews, Christians and Muslims have united, ushering in 10 years of Van Halen."

Where Does Eddie Van Halen Rank on Our 100 Greatest Guitarists List?

Although Van Halen released their 12th album A Different Kind of Truth last year, they've cooled their touring cycle, playing just seven dates this year. Five of those were in Japan, and two in the U.S., in July. Frontman David Lee Roth expressed frustration to Rolling Stone earlier this year at the band's lack of activity. "There’s nothing on the ticket as far as [touring]," Roth said, "and that's a disappointment, frankly."

In March, Roth claimed the band had 50 of 60 shows scheduled for Europe. But the group's manager, Irving Azoff told Rolling Stone that despite what Roth said, the band had no big tour plans. "Nothing's been discussed yet," Azoff said. "Why would he say this? Hey, Dave's a talkative guy."
