For some Sports, you can include a "Knockout Comp" within your Tipping Comp. There are no bonus points awarded for the winner of this Comp.

Each Week Tipsters will need to nominate one winning Team that they think will win each Week (Tipsters cannot pick the same Team in two consecutive Weeks). If the Team they select wins, they progress to the next Week. If the Team they select loses or the match ends in a Draw, they are knocked out (Note: this will not knock them out of the overall Tipping Comp - it only affects the bonus Knockout Comp). If your selected Team plays more than one match in the Week, the Knockout Comp is scored based on the Team's first match result.

The Knockout Comp is a bonus game of skill for Tipsters and commences in the Week the Comp Manager activates this feature. Once the first Week of your Knockout Comp closes, Tipsters can not enter it after that time.

If your Knockout Comp does go off sooner than you want it too and you want to run the KO Comp again, all you need to do (as the Comp Manager) is de-select the option for a KO Comp in your Rules, save that change and then re-select to run a KO Comp again. This will re-activate the Knockout Comp for all Tipsters from that next Week.

April 13, 3:31 pm
Yes, for some Sports you can select the Tip cut-off time for your Tipping Comp. The options are:

A) 5-minutes before the first match of the Week; or

B) 5-minutes before EACH match

Option B will enable your Tipsters to make selections right up until the start of each match and is a good option if a lot of your Tipsters have access to OzTips Mobile (www.oztips.mobi) from their handsets.

If you have already set-up your Comp, don't worry, you can re-configure your Comp at anytime - click 'Comp Rules' then 'Edit Comp' & be sure to let your Tipsters know you have changed the Rules!

If a tie occurs in your Tipping Comp between Tipsters with the same highest score for a Week, you can select to set-up a "discriminator" to determine a single Top Tipster:

- No Discriminator: You determine your own Top Tipster if there is a tie.

- Closest Margin: Tipsters must guess the difference in scores between the two Teams playing in the Discriminator Match; and the highest scoring Tipster who gets the Margin match Tip correct and the lowest, closest Margin, is the Top Tipster.

If any Tipsters are still tied after the Discriminator is used, the earliest Tip time will be used to select a single Top Tipster for your Comp.

The Top Tipster will then be named first in the Latest Results, followed alphabetically by the remaining Tipsters on equal points. All other Tipsters are ranked by scores, alphabetically.

Ashes Tipping runs over the 5 Ashes Tests, with Tip selections depending on the Tipping Format set-up by the Comp Manager:

- Basic Tipping: This is straight pick the Match Winner Tipping.

- Intermediate Tipping: Includes Basic Tipping options (Match Winner) and Total Runs per Innings for the Teams.

- Advanced Tipping: Includes Intermediate Tipping options (Match Winner and Team Run Totals) and Tips for the number of Outs by Type per Innings.

- Expert Tipping: Includes Advanced Tipping options (Match Winner, Team Run Totals and Outs by Type) and Tips for the Runs and Wickets taken by each Player per Innings.

All Correct Bonus points can be set-up in the Rules, and will be awarded to any Tipsters who correctly select all Tips for that match. For example, if you're in a Comp with Expert Tipping, you must get all your Match Winner, Team Run Totals, Outs by Type and Tips for the Runs and Wickets taken by each Player per Innings correct for the Bonus to be awarded.

The Tip cut-off time for both Innings is 5-mins before the first match starts.
