 Blauburger Wine

Blauburger is a dark-skinned crossing of Blauer Portugieser and Blaufränkisch, and one of 13 red grapes permitted to make quality wine in Austria. Blauburger was bred in 1923 in Klosterneuburg and is grown throughout Austria, but mainly in Niederösterreich, particularly the Weinviertel.

Wines have quite a neutral flavour profile with a very deep, dark color and is therefore often blended with lighter colored varieties.
