If you are seeking a casual valuation for up to a dozen wines, use our Free Wine Valuation.
If you are interested in selling investment-grade wines, we recommend that you contact a local Wine Broker or one of the Wine Auctioneers who handle wine. Remember, auction houses generally charge a seller's commission of anything up to 18% of the value of the hammer price, and wine brokers operate on similar or higher margins.
Wine-Searcher offers a wine valuation service suitable for financial audits, insurance valuations and management accounting. Our database of 5,844,023 price points from 43,581 wine merchants provides an accurate picture of current retail values for any wine.
Wines are valued at the average retail price (excluding sales tax) within the country/region of your choice (e.g. USA, Europe, UK, World Wide, etc.). We can also value at specific points in time and in any currency. Our valuations assume that all wines are in good condition; we do not view the items.
To value your wine holdings, all we require is a list of wines, case/bottle sizes and quantity held. We return a valuation report to you by email backed up with a signed valuation by mail.
The charge for this service is $750 USD plus $0.40 USD per line valued. If you would like more information, please contact us and we will be pleased to discuss your requirements.
