Brighton Festival

03.05.14 - 25.05.14
Brighton

For three weeks in May this lively seaside town is turned into an artistic hub, hosting the largest annual arts festival in England.

Now in its 48th year, this imaginative arts festival combines an impressive programme of international music, dance, literature and theatre, with innovative performances that utilise and enhance the landscape of the city. The major events take place in the stunning Regency Dome complex and Brighton's Theatre Royal, but other venues around the town are featured as well.

The well-regarded literature section of the programme regularly features a wide range of authors.

Brighton Festival transforms the Pavilion Gardens, Jubilee Square and New Road into Fringe City, hosting a full programme of free events - dance, comedy, and street theatre. The Festival opens with a full costume children's parade, participated in by all the town's schools.

The 2014?Festival welcomes choreographer, musician, composer and performer, Hofesh Schechter,?as its Guest Director. Details of the 2014 programme will be available on the website in February.
