Ice Rink Natural History Museum

31.10.13 - 05.01.14
Natural History Museum, Cromwell Road, London

One of London's best winter attractions, you can take to the ice with the spectacular facade of the National History Museum as your backdrop.

There is a 1,050-square-metre ice rink on the museum's east lawn, with a junior rink for kids, linked by an ice bridge. Spectators can enjoy the ice antics from a viewing platform, fortified by hot chocolate, mulled wines and other seasonal treats.

Your booked session will run for an hour and the rink operates in all but the most catastrophic weather conditions.

And if the pleasures of the ice begin to pall, you can always retreat inside the museum, which is currently showing the Wildlife Photographers of the Year exhibition, as well as the usual array of fossils, natural history specimens and dinosaur skeletons.

This year's rink will be open to the public from November 4th 2012- January 8th 2013.
