Japanese Grand Prix

03.10.14 - 05.10.14
Suzuka Circuit, Mie Prefecture

The Suzuka circuit has hosted the F1 Grand Prix since 1987, sharing the event with the Fuji Speedway circuit. In 2011 the race will be held at the Suzuka Circuit. It was designed by John Hugenholtz and built in 1963, primarily as a test track for Honda.

At nearly 6 km in length it is one of the longest tracks on the international calendar, and considered one of the most difficult racing circuits in the world. It has a good variety of corners, while the sweeping, fast curves of the return section produce high G forces. There are many overtaking opportunities.

Japanese crowds are amongst the most enthusiastic in the world, and facilities and organisation are first-rate.

In 2012, Vettel extended his winning run to make it 3 victories from 3 races to put himself in the lead of the title challenge.
