Cholmondeley Pageant of Power

13.06.14 - 15.06.14
Cholmondeley Castle, Malpas, Cheshire

Taking place in the grounds of Cholmondeley Castle, the Pageant of Power is a celebration of speed, engineering and driving skill, and attracts over 60,000 visitors during the course of the weekend. Events take place on land, water and in the air

On a 3-mile circuit in the castle grounds, over 150 cars and bikes, spanning over seven decades of motoring history, compete. Inshore racing power boats race on the adjoining Deer Park Mere and there are also World Champion Jet Ski demonstrations.

In the air, the largest helicopter event in Europe will grab the attention with gravity-defying displays.

In addition there are displays of military might, battle-winning equipment and a Saturday night Military Tattoo. There is also a Concours D'Elégance, featuring some of the rarest and most valuable track vehicles.

Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire has been the seat of the Cholmondeley family since Norman times. The castle actually dates to the early 19th century, when a romantic 'gothick villa' was embellished with towers and turrets to create the fabulous castle seen today. The castle grounds, with their beautiful specimen trees including Cedars of Lebanon, oak and chestnut, herbaceous borders, shrubberies, lakes and the Temple Garden are a beautiful, tranquil retreat from the motoring excitement, and are open to visitors throughout the weekend.
